Multiple bilateral liver echinococcosis

We present a clinical observation of the combined treatment of multiple bilateral echinococcus hepatic cysts: right-sided hemihepatectomy, pericystectomy of two cysts of the IV segment and transhepatic puncture of the left lobe cysts with aspiration of the contents with sanitation of the cysts cavities with 85% glycerol solution. The specified surgical tactics is justified by a multitude of intraparenchymal echinococcus cysts of the right lobe, the transhepatic puncture access to which was difficult or impossible. The cysts of the right lobe were infected, which, combined with the difficulties in accessing them, dictated the need for the only possible therapeutic approach - right hemihepatectomy.
