The article represents the model of critical thinking skills formation as an integrating component of methodical competence of a master of linguistics, whose sphere of professional activity is linguistic education. The model is based on the continuum starting from the social demand to create an innovative, critically thinking person in the innovative society, up to the typology of tasks using the critical thinking techniques.
