The article discusses the relevance of developing a model of innovative education for implementation in the continuing education system of teaching staff. The concepts of “learning model”, “education model”, “educational innovation” are disclosed. A comparison of the innovative educational model with traditional approaches is given. The conditions necessary for the introduction of innovations in the field of education, the factors affecting the innovative activities of teachers are noted. The goals that must be achieved through the introduction of an innovative model of education in the system of advanced training of teaching staff are disclosed.
