E-layer critical frequency median model for auroral region

We built an empiric model for the auroral E-layer critical frequency f 0E median where the atmospheric ionization auroral source is indirectly taken into account. The model is combined with the well-known empiric f 0E model that accounts for the atmospheric ionization solar source only. Such a combined model reproduces the f 0E median at both mid- and high latitudes.
