“Multiple drafts model”: D. Dennett's theory of consciousness

By the end of the XXth century, classical theory of consciousness has been losing prestige under the pressure of criticism. Several concepts of mind appeared instead of it, but none of them managed to improve its position as an alternative to the traditional model of consciousness. This article offers an analysis of the “Multiple Drafts Model” - a concept by Daniel C. Dennett, one of a few claiming to become a new theory of consciousness.
