The article addresses the problems in the study of Internet addiction: absence of a single diagnostic tool and the need for classification of Internet-dependent behavior. The article suggests the typology formed by the model of system of social-informational practices, constructed on the basis of systems analysis with consideration of a 3-component system. Sustainable balance in the system characterizes the norm as behavior independent from Internet. The shift of the balance towards virtual reality indicates to the deviation - Internet dependent behavior, which has two types - behavior with reversible dependence and irreversible dependence. The author presents the results of the pilot study conducted with the aim to divide Internet-dependents into two groups. Relevance of consideration deviations in the Internet related to the penetration of information and communication technologies (ICT) in virtually all areas of modern life and increasing involvement in the information practices of an increasing number of Russians, especially young audiences, has caused interest in this issue on the part of psychology, medicine, pedagogy, sociology, giving it a multi-disciplinary nature of the phenomenon.
