The article covers a content model of training specialists focused on implementation of continuity in the cognitive development of preschool and primary school-age children. It describes variants of approaches to modeling of educational programs within major discipline 031100 “Pedagogy and methodology of preschool education” and supplementary discipline “Continuity of preschool and primary school education”. The author gives data and qualitative description of the results, obtained during implementation of the developed model.
