Models of state support for oilfield service companies: analysis of foreign practices

The study is aimed at identifying current problems and opportunities for effective cooperation between all market participants: the state, oilfield service companies and oil and gas producing companies. In this regard, the author of this study analyzed the current state of the oilfield service sector; identified key problems and limitations affecting the development of the sector; studied successful foreign practices of state support for oilfield service companies. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study were the works of domestic and foreign authors of both fundamental and applied nature in the field of research on trends and patterns of development of the oilfield service industry, to determine the degree of development of the problem and analytics of foreign and domestic practices of functioning of the oilfield service sector of the economy. The practical significance of this study is that it will allow the management of oilfield service companies, as well as the state, to form a comprehensive understanding of the current state of the oilfield service sector and develop reasonable proposals for its development in the face of modern challenges. All this will allow creating innovative business models that will help increase the efficiency of this sector of the economy. Particular attention is paid to the interaction between the state and business in the context of supporting and stimulating the oilfield services industry.
