Models of territorial organization of urban agglomerations

The main points of the territorial organization of urban agglomerations are considered and their definition is given. The main reasons for the formation of urban agglomerations are studied, and their main criteria are highlighted. The formula of the coefficient of development is given. The main models of spatial development of agglomerations are listed. Models and submodels of urban agglomeration development are presented in the table with their description and main advantages and disadvantages. A description is given for each model: monocentric, polycentric, scattered, and radial. Examples of models of urban agglomerations in different countries, including Russia, are given.
