Modeling and analysis of external high-speed characteristics of diesel engines in the design

Empirical dependences for the external speed characteristics of the YAMZ-7511.10 diesel engine are obtained. The results of calculating the dependence of efficiency, gross torque on the shaft in dimensional and dimensionless parameters for a number of diesel engines are presented. It is shown that the experimental data presented in the manuals for the operation of diesel engines allow us to estimate with a sufficiently high accuracy the dependence of efficiency on the speed of rotation of the crankshaft.
