Modeling of investments in environmental protection

The article analyzes the factors affecting investments aimed at environmental protection. Environmental problems deserve close attention from the government, which naturally necessitates tools to assess and predict the factors that affect the stability of the investment process and the volume of investments. The idea of the study is to identify the relationship between the indicators of the study area, which can be used in the development of state and regional programs for socio-economic development of territories and municipalities, taking into account the environmental factor; and which can be applied in the program-target approach to the implementation of large industrial and investment projects, technical parks and clusters that have an impact on the natural environment. The aim of the study is to develop a model of the impact of factors on investment in environmental protection. The scientific novelty of the study is to identify the relationship of indicators characterizing the size of the planned investment in environmental protection, with the evaluation of the amounts recorded annually by the reporting. The main method is econometric modeling. The main results of the study present the factors that can influence the formation of this indicator. The authors propose the model of investments aimed at environmental protection from the point of view of factors that are important in planning the size of these investments for the next year. The directions of future research are aimed at solving applied economic problems associated with the implementation of state and municipal programs for the development of regions as well as at adapting the proposed model to projects implemented in certain areas associated with the impact on the environment. A possible limitation is the lack of statistical data on regions and projects.
