Modeling of electrothermal processes in thyristor rectifier of synchronous generator of self-excitation system type in the short-circuits of power system

This paper presents peculiar features of calculation of electrothermal processes in thyristor rectifier of synchronous generator of self-excitation system type by the superexcitation of short circuits in the power system. The mathematical model of instantaneous value of heating temperature of semiconductor structures of valve converter on the basis of electromagnetic transient processes analysis in synchronous generator is given.
