The article deals with the problems of modeling the organization of pedestrian crossings on the example of a separate section of the street and road network of the city of Sevastopol. The relevance of this problem is assessed, various works devoted to the study of pedestrian flows in cities are analyzed. The main technical solutions used for the organization of pedestrian crossings are systematized, the main means of modeling traffic at intersections are considered. A study of a single section was carried out, for which measurements of the traffic intensities of cars and pedestrians were made, a simulation model of the intersection under study was developed. The main strategies for changing the traffic management scheme at the intersection are selected. Subsequent modeling of the proposed changes was carried out taking into account the possible increase in traffic flow during peak hours. A comparative analysis of the data obtained was carried out, conclusions were drawn about the feasibility of using simulation modeling to solve such problems.
