Simulation of parachute container cover separation from reentry vehicle taking into account elastic properties of the extraction unit

Бесплатный доступ

The paper presents an approach to simulating the critical process of parachute container cover separation from a reentry vehicle that takes into account interactions between the cover and the extraction unit via a bridle. The extraction unit is considered as a finite set of solid bodies that interact through viscoelastic springs. Based on analysis of video recordings of developmental tests conducted on the ground, a procedure was developed for determining the force applied to the extraction unit suspension point. The paper introduces validity criteria for the extraction unit model and a procedure for sizing that model. The extraction unit model validation will be finalized based on the results of a series of upcoming experiments, which will update the dynamic model of the process of the cover separation from the reentry vehicle.
