Modelling of technological processes at the piercing press of a pipe pressing line

A mathematical model of process dynamics of piercing or expanding of a tube preparation on a piercing press of pipe pressing line is composed. Axisymmetrical flow of the metal (working medium) between the container and the mandrel or expander is considered. The distribution character of metal pressure and stresses in the deformation zone is established. The rational shape of the mandrel generating line is determined from the condition of minimum axial resistance of the mandrel or expander to the metal flow. Reliability of the obtained results is shown by means of identification of diagnosticated data for a piercing press.
