The paper presents the results of numerical simulation of the nonlinear thermal problem for composite cathode assemblies of high-speed plasma devices. The two-dimensional analysis takes into account the variability of heat and electrical properties, the volume (joule heat release) and surface (discharge plasma, convective and radiant heat exchange) sources and heat sinks, which significantly increased the accuracy of temperature measurement of cathode assemblies.
