Modeling of thermal processes during plasma processing along an annular trajectory

Бесплатный доступ

The paper proposes a model for heating cylindrical workpieces, which allows the analysis of thermal processes during surface plasma treatment (welding, surfacing, heat treatment) along an annular trajectory. The model allows you to take into account the scanning of the plasma arc, as well as the final dimensions of the workpiece to be processed. The simulation of plasma arc heating is carried out and it is shown that during the processing of a cylindrical billet, due to the peculiarities of the heat sink, a significant increase in the heat content in it is observed, which can inevitably affect the quality of the welding or surfacing process.
