Despite the high pace of technological changes in the modern socio-economic system and the transition to a post-industrial type of relations, the food question continues to be relevant. In this regard, the development of agriculture, in particular grain production, and increasing efficiency in this sector of the economy remain one of the priorities of economic regulation. In recent decades, there has been a global trend towards climate change associated with its general warming. This affects grain production both in the world as a whole and in the main grain-producing countries and macro-regions of the world. The article analyzes and models the impact of climate change on grain production. It has been established that climate change has not yet had a significant impact on overall production volumes and productivity. But there are changes in the geography of grain production, which requires consideration in the ongoing economic policy. In addition, in the longer term, more radical changes associated with climate changes are possible in the economy of grain production, but there is currently a lack of data for their reliable forecasting.
