Modification of melamine-formaldehyde resins with aromatic polybenzimidazoles

Бесплатный доступ

Modification of melamine-formaldehyde resin used in the production of electrical insulating lacquers and enamels was performed by treating it with aromatic polybenzimidazole in the presence of acid-type catalysts. The presence of aromatic and heterocyclic fragments in the structured polymer along with the cyanuric ring gives it high temperature resistance, increased deformation-strength and electrical parameters. Modified resins can be used as electrical insulation materials, binders of fiberglass and mica plastics for phase isolation of asynchronous electric motors.
