Molecular-biological and morphological predictors of colon cancer outcome

The article discusses molecular biological and morphological predictors of the outcome of colon cancer. It is noted that the prognosis of colon cancer is determined by the characteristics of the tumor, namely, the rate of dysplasia of the intestinal mucosa and the properties of cancer cells, determined, in turn, by the molecular metabolism of the tumor. The classification of colon tumors according to the CMS system is described.
