Molecular markers in non-muscle-invasive bladder cancer

Bladder cancer (BC) is a severe disabling disease for which no active detection system has been developed. BC requires a thorough differential diagnosis, has a greater tendency to relapse and progression. BC is considered as a disease of the elderly, as its frequency increases dramatically with increasing age. One of the main clinical problems in BC is the prediction of the outcome of the disease, the search for prognostic factors, mainly focused on molecular markers. Identifying molecular markers that can be used in diagnostic or prognostic tools has a high priority.
