In the conditions of commercial technology the authors studied the influence of increased energy content in the ration of high productive cows of the Black-and-White breed at the last 3 weeks before calving and at the postnatal period on dairy productivity, carbohydrate and lipid metabolism and also on reproductive function. It was shown, that the raise of feeding level of first calving cows during 3 last weeks before calving and at the beginning of lactation period promote to the increase of dairy productivity in cows of first calving by 5-10 %. At that the contents of concentrate fodder at the first, second and third lactation phase were 400, 240 and 100 g per 1 kg of milk, respectively, at the same time the contents of fodder in control were 290-310, 280 and 200 g, respectively.
