Youth and sustainable development of rural areas: problems and prospects

Rural youth play an important role in the reproduction and development of rural areas, being a strategic potential in achieving national goals in the field of improving the quality and standard of living of the rural population. Based on the results of the author's sociological research, an assessment is made of the socio-economic sphere of life, working conditions, and social behavior of young people living in rural areas. The objectives of the study included: coverage of the structure of the employment market, the labor process and its effectiveness, analysis of the quality of professional activities of young rural residents. The article reflects the problematic aspects of the labor sector in rural areas faced by the Kuban youth. The authors are confident that identifying the problems of rural youth in the socio-economic sector, caused by both objective and subjective factors. Their solution will help the leadership of the country and the region to determine the effectiveness of the implementation of the strategy for sustainable development of rural areas in the localities, thereby, positively influence the development of domestic agriculture farms.
