Youth entrepreneurship in the views and assessments of students (based on the materials of a sociological study in Vladivostok)

The paper describes the situation in the Russian Far East, associated with a decrease in the population, and notes the need to work to keep young people in the region. One of the main tools for attracting young people to the economy of the Far Eastern Federal District is to support youth entrepreneurship. The authors consider approaches to the study of youth entrepreneurship and analyze empirical data obtained in the course of a sociological study on students’ opinions about entrepreneurship development in modern Russia, about the readiness of students for entrepreneurship, their knowledge about the types of regional support for youth entrepreneurship. Students’ positive assessments of the conditions for the development of entrepreneurship in the Primorsky region, the factors affecting successful entrepreneurial activity, as well as respondents’ poor awareness about federal and regional measures to support youth entrepreneurship are noted.
