The article examines the problem of youth political participation in Russia. At the present stage, about 20 thousand youth political movements and organizations are distinguished in the Russian Federation. Recently, the level of political and civic engagement of youth has increased. At the same time, there is also increasing competition among political organisations for the attention of the country's youth population: parties and elites with different ideological orientations and visions of public policy are actively attracting their representatives. Currently, it is highly relevant for the Russian Federation to enhance the political culture of the younger generation while creating conditions for its full formation as an element of the political system, which undoubtedly has a significant impact on the future image of politics not only at the national level of interaction, but also at the global level, since it is a decent level of political literacy among youth that will ensure a strong pillar of public policy.
