Mongolia and strategic partnership (2006-2019): in search of "the third neighbor"

The article is devoted to the five strategic partnerships of Mongolia in foreign policy. In the first part of the article, the researcher reveals the concept of “a strategic partnership” in Russian historiography, shows different views on this concept, finds common ground between the scientists. In the second part of the article, the author analyzes each of the five strategic partnerships of Mongolia in the chronological order of establishing strategic partnerships: Russia, Japan, China, India and the United States. The author gives a comparative description of the basic documents tracing the dynamics of the relations development in this perspective. Based on the analytical work done, the conclusions are drawn.
