Mongolian youth and politics: the virtual dimension of the national security

This article is devoted to the issue of features of the internet space using by Mongolian youth and how its political position explicit through the vision of the threats to the Mongolia national security. The issue is based on the data of the popular social network «Facebook». This social network has been used as an instrument to involve supporters of different political ideas and discourses in the revolution process in the Middle East, Central Asia, East Europe etc. This article is based on the data obtained in August 2014 in Mongolian sector of «Facebook». These data allowed to identify a certain number of specific socio-political discourses. In this period in Mongolian society was vigorously debated the questions connected with the choice of railways gauge standard, the legislation of the «Land law» and development prospects of the international relations with the two neighbors - Russian Federation and People’s Republic of China. In this period Mongolia was preparing to the visits of the leaders of two neighbor countries - Vladimir Putin and Xi Jinpimg.
