Monitoring of school and university students’ functional status using the health promoting technologies

Aim: to assess the influence of health maintaining and health promoting means on the students’ functional status. We examined groups of 18-22-year-old university students and 15-17-year-old school students engaged in psychophysical relaxation program. We used cardiointervalography, and measured psychomotor reaction rate, HR and blood pressure before and after local static load. It has been found that after 6 months of relaxation program all the examined students had lower functional tension of the cardiovascular system and improved functions of the central nervous system. The results give reason to conclude that it is necessary to introduce the programs of psychophysical health promotion into the learning process of university and high school students.
