Monitoring of public procurement as a mechanism for anti-corruption

Purpose: To determine the effect of the public procurement system of monitoring the state of the fight against corruption in this area. Methodology: We used a formal-legal method. Results: The article discusses the features of the monitoring of public procurement in the context of optimization of countering corruption in public procurement. Emphasizes the effectiveness of the monitoring of public procurement, attention is drawn to the most significant changes in the current legislation of the Russian Federation. Analyzes the existing points of view of researchers. The conclusion is that the monitoring of public procurement is an effective means of combating corruption in the framework of the existing contract system of public procurement. A special performance in the future may show public monitoring of public procurement. Novelty/originality/value: The paper has a high scientific value, as it highlights the current and unexplored topic of public procurement monitoring in modern Russia, it allows to understand the effectiveness and prospects for changes in legislation.
