More and more self-propelled agricultural machines are already equipped from the factory with built-in diagnostic control systems that allow you to constantly monitor their technical condition. Machines with low traceability can be equipped with external diagnostic control systems, which are widely available on the market. Expanding the capabilities of technical diagnostics can significantly improve the efficiency of the maintenance and repair system through the development and implementation of technical condition monitoring systems. Technical condition monitoring is a set of procedures, processes and resources implemented using a diagnostic network and aimed at obtaining information about the current technical condition, predicting changes, interpreting the results for decision making. At the same time, approaches and requirements for the development of systems for monitoring the technical condition, the creation and use of a diagnostic network have not yet been sufficiently formed. The aim of the study is to study the regulatory requirements and scientific approaches to determining the content of technical condition monitoring, as well as to assess the possibility of improving the quality and quantity of diagnostic information using external means of technical diagnostics. The paper formulates the definition of the concept of technical condition monitoring and defines a set of its elements. The analysis of devices for control systems of the technical condition of machines and mechanisms, as well as control of technological operations of self-propelled agricultural machines is presented.
