The vocational education doesn’t have the right to occupy the neutral position in the tough battle of the spiritual and consumptive identification. That’s why the problem of assessment of the ‘extracurricular attainments’ in the vocational educational institutions is topical especially in the light of the necessity of fulfilment of the state programme ‘Patriotic education of the citizens.’, which is aimed at the intensification of the students civic competencies. We propose to discuss the phenomenon ‘deed’ as an assessment object in the frames of monitoring of the ‘extra-curricular attainments’, which form the student’s patriotic and ethnic and cultural identification in relation to two antagonistic worlds - Russion and Western, spiritual-passionarcreative and animalistic-destructive-consumptive.
