The article deals with the results of the study of the families with the children with special needs and the disabled children in the Volgograd region. There are described the demographical characteristics of the families. There are revealed their actual requests for the provision of the assistance. The authors define the most topical forms for parents and the organizational conditions of the provision of the assistance.
