Non-diversified nature of regional economy as a key factor of structural disproportions in the socio-economic development of the northern territories

The article examines the economics of the oil and gas producing region and its disproportional development, provides an economic evaluation of the structure of the regional economy, and examines the problems of the social and economic development of the northern region associated with the mono-raw orientation of its development. The main directions of state regulation of the diversification of the regional economy are marked and priorities and key tasks are outlined.
