Jean-Jacques Rousseau is one of the most influential persons in philosophy during the period of enlightenment of 18th century in Europe. He is not only a consistent follower of Aristotle's moral philosophy and an advocate of a justice society where all would behave in line with general good, but he is also one of the most important persons in the history of political philosophy who later influenced both Immanuel Kant and the leaders of the French revolution. In his work, author examines Rousseau's contribution to moral psychology, morality and political philosophy embraced in the idea of general will, methods for reconciliation of freedom and authority, general will representation and government as a valuable framework of a state and democracy.
