The most "weak" from the point of view of strength and peculiarities of the structure of the white line of the abdomen is the middle region of its epigastric part (at an average distance of 5-10 cm from the xiphoid process) and a 5 cm area above the navel, which explains the largest frequency of hernia in the epigastric region and over the navel. Taking into account the comparison of the strength of various sutures, the method of suturing the aponeurosis after laparotomy was developed and tested in conditions of urgent surgery. The gist of the method lies in the fact that after suturing the peritoneum, produce suturing aponeurosis laparotomy wound by reinforcing sutures, the distance between them is 5 cm, including in the "weak" places of the white line, and then a continuous suture is applied with stitches in staggered order.
