Investigation of the affected metastatic liver cancer patients showed that the cellular composition of the diverse prevalence and location of infiltrates represented all types of leucocytes and macrophages. Leukocytic infiltrates paratumoral areas of the liver (as compared with intact) are more extensive and contain a larger number of proliferating, activated and mature lymphoid cells. It was established that mononuclear leukocytes infiltrating the paratumoral area of tumor liver can differentiate into NKT cells. The data obtained can be used to develop methods lokoregional adjuvant immunotherapy of liver metastases.
