M-responses of leg muscles were determined before experiment start, every 30 day of fixation and 30 days after the fixator removal to reveal the possible effects of the techniques for reducing treatment periods, worked out at RISC "RTO", on the level of evoked bioelectrical activity and on the histological structure of the muscles of the leg being lengthened by distraction osteosynthesis method in experimental animals. Histological studies were performed in the same periods. It was demonstrated that when both straight and curved wires were used for intramedullary osteosynthesis, there were no significant differences in the bioelectrical activity evoked and the histostructure of skeletal leg muscles between the groups compared and control ones.
