Morphofunctional peculiarities of pancreas in newborn hybryds of the Novosibirskaya population of pigs

A comparative estimation of hybridous, wild and domestic newborn piglets on morphofunctional parameters of pancreas was made. An absolute and relative mass of pancreas, it's functional activity and live weight of animals were determined. It was shown, that hybridous animals have no considerable differences on morphofunctional parameters in pancreas, but essential exceeds the parent forms by correlation between exocrine and endocrine parts, determined their meat productivity. On remaining parameters the hybrids of the Novosibirskaya population and the Semirechenskaya breed have an intermediate position as compared with initial forms. The possibility of the increase of meat quality of pigs by means of hybridization with wild boar from the Asiatic and European subspecies was discussed.
