Morphological characteristics of the pancreas in pathology

The article presents the morphological changes of pancreas in severe infectious diseases resulted in fatalities, as well as in some general somatic diseases of patients admitted to intensive care units of the infectious diseases hospital.) 71 fatality case histories and the autopsy reports were thoroughly analyzed within the period from 1992 to 2003 It has been shown that the morphological changes in pancreas are various in severity and manifestations, the former being more evident in hepatic pathology, even though they were not closely associated with the nosology.
