In the experiment, intact teeth were treated by various bleaching systems. Some of the teeth after bleaching were also coated with desensitizers, adhesives and bonding. After the experiment, 0,10-0,15 mm thick sections of the treated teeth were studied. Our study revealed an adverse effect of the bleaching systems on the tooth enamel. Organic matrix located between the enamel prisms was found to be affected most of all. This caused changes in the hydrodynamic processes in the tooth enamel, which is bound to result in increased teeth sensitivity and easier penetration of various dyes into enamel micropores leading to undesirable changes in the teeth colour. Bonding coating helps to seal surface pores of the tooth enamel. The best results were obtained with the use of the desensitizer and the bonding coating. This provides the most reliable protection from external aggressive factors and penetration of dyes and ensures long-term results of the bleaching.
