Morphology of the thymus of turkeys

This article, devoted to the morphology of the thymus gland of turkeys, reveals the patterns of thymus development in postnatal ontogenesis. To study this issue, a set of anatomical, histological, and morphometric techniques was used with further statistical data processing. As a result of the research, it was revealed that the peak of the functional activity of the gland occurs at 3 weeks of age.
