Morphometric features of the dental mushroom as risk factors of periodontitis

The problem of periodontal diseases remains one of the most important in dentistry, due to their mass prevalence among the population, the emergence of a focus of chronic infection in the body, a progressive course, which leads to premature loss of teeth with significant damage to the periodontal tissues. Currently, various methods of ozone therapy are widely used for the treatment of inflammatory and dystrophic-inflammatory diseases of the periodontium. This is due to various biological effects of ozone, including: an increase in the partial pressure of oxygen in tissues, activation of oxidative processes, antibacterial action, immunomodulatory properties, stimulation of phagocytosis and intracellular inactivation of microbes, improvement of microcirculation in tissues, stimulation of reparative processes. At the same time, it is necessary to clarify the scheme and dose of ozone injection directly into periodontal pockets in patients with HAP.
