The adaptive-compensatory capabilities of the thyroid gland are directly dependent on the environmental situation in each particular region. The thyroid glands of residents of Andijan region, in people who died from sudden coronary death, are characterized by previous chronic changes in environmental origin. They are accompanied by hypothyroidism and significantly limit the adaptive capabilities of the thyroid gland, contributing to the adverse course of cardiovascular disease.
