This article outlines the features of motivation and stimulation of personnel in the enterprise. The differences between the concepts of "motivation" and "stimulation", the improvement of the system of motivation and incentives are considered. It is concluded that a high-quality motivational system contributes to positive trends in the enterprise. Incentive methods are also considered, they are divided into two groups: material and non-material. Thus, it was concluded that the implementation of tasks to motivate and stimulate staff depends on what support measures are used in the company. A rationally thought out and implemented motivation system is not only an effective tool for personnel management, but also a means of achieving the company's strategic goals. Insufficient use of incentive methods can lead to a large number of negative consequences for the company, such as: non-compliance with labor discipline (lateness to work, absenteeism, participation in conflict situations, etc.), increased staff turnover, non-compliance with the quality and scope of work, theft, violation of the rules of communication with customers, etc.
