Motivation of apology in the British communicative culture

The article presents the analysis of background reasons of communicative act apology in the British communicative culture. Revealing variation of motives, the author proposes a classification of apology act types based on functional and pragmatic characteristics accounting ethno-socio-cultural context in the British culture.
