Motivation as a factor of pedagogical influence on mastering English for special purposes

The article examines the means used to develop motivation to study English for special purposes among cadets of the Interior Ministry higher educational institutions. As a key factor used to develop motivation the authors suggest pedagogical technologies which include the availability of the professionally-oriented textbook, unity of traditional, active and interactive methods of learning, the person-oriented approach to learning and the teacher’s role who creates necessary environment for effective development of the learner’s initiative.
