Motivation and value aspects of teachers' training to work with a textbook

The article deals with the motivation and value aspects of teachers' training to work with textbooks in the course of education science subjects. The author considers the content of motivation and value aspects regarding the use of textbooks in the classroom (sustained motivation to use the textbook in class, interest in mastering of effective techniques in the work with textbooks, and others). The paper suggests how to make up the content for education science courses guiding future teachers to use the textbook in the classroom in their follow-up activities (inclusion of materials on the methods of educational text analysis, selection of the content, principles of textbook selection).
