Brain natriuretic peptide in the differential diagnosis of pulmonary embolism and chronic heart failure

With this aim, we evaluated the significance level of plasma concentrations of N-terminal fragment brain natriuretic peptide (Nt-proBNP) in the diagnosis of pulmonary embolism in patients with chronic heart failure, as well as identifying patterns between the test peptide and other risk factors and symptoms of pulmonary embolism.
