The review analyzed data from the world scientific literature, including meta-analyzes, multicenter studies and databases. Based on the analysis, the key components of the fast recovery program (ERAS) in the postoperative period in the surgical treatment of colon cancer are described in detail from the point of view of pathophysiology and neurohumoral regulation. Postoperative management of patients involves effective analgesia, early activation, early administration of enteral nutrition and rehydration. The use of the basic algorithms of the concept of a multimodal accelerated rehabilitation program, starting with preoperative preparation of patients, can improve the immediate results of surgical treatment, reduce the duration of postoperative rehabilitation, as well as the risks of postoperative complications.
