Multimodal transportation as a priority of modern transport policy

The article discusses the role and importance of multimodal transportation, which are distinguished by the variety of variations in the organization of the process of transporting commercial goods. The main elements of such a format for the movement of goods are highlighted, the advantages and disadvantages that exist in this type of transportation of goods are indicated. It is noted that the use of multimodal schemes requires increased control over the process of transportation of goods in order to avoid the occurrence of insured events. In particular, it is expedient to introduce a single multimodal transport document that helps to optimize logistics restrictions and speed up the passage of customs checkpoints.
